Yes, today Sorry, everyday life demanded full attention.
The file is coming (hopefully) soon, I am trying the upload again today on the laptop without success. I will try again shortly with the smartphone and Tapatalk.
My comments on this:
1. We were able to look at the room "kitchen" in the original dimensions in a customer's house. The normal door was replaced here by a sliding door, the kitchen was also set up in an L-shape and corresponds to what I would imagine for my kitchen. We could see here that there was enough space for a small table and 4 seats. Of course, it was not huge, but it worked quite well.
2. Regarding the use of this room as a kitchen as intended, according to the consultant there might be the possibility to widen the kitchen by about 30 cm by shifting the first stair step. That would add roughly a full square meter. However, it was not entirely clear to me, because we discussed this afterwards, how much the staircase would be affected by this.
3. Basically, there are many reasons for me to use the room "guest" as a kitchen. It is bigger, has access to the garden, and would be quite practical when we come in with groceries through the garage and utility room, quick to reach. I see two options here:
- Leave the wall to the living room as is, then there is no direct access from kitchen to living room.
- Glass sliding door between kitchen and living room, then of course the wall to the kitchen could no longer be used as a TV wall and the couch etc. would have to be moved to the other corner of the living room.
Questionable whether the door to the terrace (which, by the way, is southeast-facing) would not take up so much space that we would be very restricted when eating at the table or generally in the layout of the kitchen?
Alternatively, the door to the garden would have to be replaced by a normal window, but that would eliminate the option for the children to come in from the garden through the kitchen even when dirty?
Or are there sliding doors that can be limited by a house wall? Hmm.
