This is almost too much for a first conversation with an architect. I can understand that you approach something like this with enthusiasm. But trust the architect as well. If you take it too detailed, you take away the architect’s creative freedom. Take a room program in the sense that these should be the rooms. And write down what is important to you or what you have always dreamed of. The architect’s job is to bring your wishes together with your budget and your property. Something completely different (better) might come out if you give him the freedom. Otherwise, he might just patch your floor plan together so that it barely works.

The questionnaire would be useful. I would reconsider the entire room layout. Utility/technical room should go down to the basement where the bedroom is now (so into the hillside). Then a light well will be sufficient. The bedroom should be moved up to the living level and the bathroom should get a shower, which would also make living on one floor possible in old age (even if you initially want to use one of the bedrooms in the basement, it is especially pleasant in summer because it is not so hot). The mini walls in the [KZ] are nonsense.

And where would I store the drinks and the cold items then? I would have to carry everything once through the house from the parking space (carport) to the utility room!?

Children are 17 and 7 years old!

Roof, currently a hip roof with 26 percent (planned)!

Of course, the architect should be free to design; that would even be our wish! We are meeting in person now because our building supervisor wanted a rough idea of how we envision it (a rough floor plan), and the architect then adopted everything I gave her one to one. That’s why I am currently having some thoughts. Time is running, and we want to start slowly, but the floor plan must be finalized for that!

Refrigerator - kitchen
Drinks - some in the kitchen, most in the basement
Freezer - in the basement (you don't go there that often anyway)

You are only planning a bedroom without windows so you don’t have to carry your groceries to the basement.

Side door to the basement and a small parking space with grass pavers in front. I would plan a garden access anyway that doesn’t come out in the children's room. Or do you want to always walk through the children's rooms when you need to use the restroom during gardening?

Yes, just don't bring any suggestions. Then they immediately stop thinking.
