Okay, enough laughing, and now please back to the factual assessment.

The roof is as it is, now the question is how to properly design the roof terrace, for example.

The total area of 148 sqm is really sufficient for us. The layout, due to the single-story structure, apparently cannot be realized differently with our room requirements.

Of course, everyone has individual different ideas about what is more important where, but it will not work without any compromises (except with an endless budget).

What is currently important for me is to see how to optimally design each room. Perhaps a few cm/sqm can still be squeezed out here and there.

Our architect has now sent the two drafts to our builder. Next week, the exact heights will be leveled and then it should proceed to fine-tuning. We do not like the small windows facing the street yet, we want normal ones without bars in front, and yes, as you pointed out, it makes little sense to have a kitchen window under the carport, and in the other variant 4 it is completely missing.

As said, suggestions for improvement/optimization are welcome!

Thanks and regards, Frank

Something different
Living upstairs, you now have a huge terrace
Sleeping downstairs, children,
The children's rooms in drywall construction, so that you can live on one level later

Downstairs there would then only be 18 sqm (bedroom + dressing room) available for both children! For one child, okay, but then we would be missing space upstairs again for the two rooms!

I think city villas should be prohibited on slopes. Except for those that are only one-story from the slope side. For all other houses, the roof design must be adapted to the terrain.
