So, as written, she has all the data, the development plan, soil survey, etc., knows our max. budget and is also aware of the single-storey requirement.

If only the children come into the attic, I don't think that's bad. But that she can stick to the budget, I'm rather skeptical about. You also build a staircase and an extra hallway - not just the rooms. Insulating the roof, additional storage rooms, extra children's bathroom, etc. - that's already close to a luxury number. What was the maximum amount in euros again?

After all the negative comments about our originally planned budget, I now prefer to keep it to myself. In the end, I like to write down what everything cost us! You do learn not to always reveal everything publicly!

But please always remember that we are in the "rural area" here where we are building. The next larger city - Hannover - is about 55 km away. Starting from the fully developed plot price per sqm at under 60 EUR up to the construction costs of the house, everything is still a bit cheaper here!

Within 50 km of Hamburg, you won’t get a plot for under 150 EUR per sqm anymore. I just want to say that I do believe your cost estimates, but there is room for maneuver everywhere and regional prices. I see that myself currently and yes, we had 8 other offers for comparison.

But I'm also looking forward to the draft!

I just wanted to mention it. Not that your house ends up being more expensive than mine :-p.

You have a single-story building specified in the development plan. The architect can’t magically erase that. So why do you leave the meeting and she draws you 3 stories?

I just want to understand!
