Since our neighbors (the bungalow) did not adopt the height of the street, like the houses behind, we are now forced to accept their height if we want to position the carport at their side (requirement max. 3m terrain/carport height), otherwise only with the neighbor's permission.

It will get quite dark on the south side there when you build. He will be pretty pissed. But why does he dig in like that?

Now I have a question. I've seen this quite often.... Can you build on a loosened pile of earth? I always thought you can't compact that! That's why they always pile up and compact gravel from street level.

You can't just put 25cm of gravel on it now, compact it, and be done. That pile has only been there for about half a year, at least it feels like that. Or am I mistaken?
