... and this was then what the architect's original plan looked like!

It will get quite dark on the south side there when you build. He will be pretty pissed. But why does he dig in like that?

I know the floor plan discussion is settled for you, but what I always find nice on a slope are wide stairs that separate the living spaces. Something like this:

Kaho, it is only settled when we are "dakor" with the architect! That is not the case yet. I / we just want a compromise that also takes our wishes into account!

I like it too! But the dimensions are significantly larger, right?

Take a look at the L-bricks at one neighbor in the background, that's more than 1m L-brick.

Doesn't look like the neighbor has dug in, does it?

Now I have a question. I've seen this quite often.... Can you build on a loosened pile of earth? I always thought you can't compact that! That's why they always pile up and compact gravel from street level.

You can't just put 25cm of gravel on it now, compact it, and be done. That pile has only been there for about half a year, at least it feels like that. Or am I mistaken?

The one behind the bungalow placed 2m L-blocks! But the bungalow has gone down about 1m...

For assessment, the embankment built up at the end of our place is about 1.80m high!
