Was at a furniture store again today – was positively surprised. The studio had Pico (?), Nobilia, Nolte and something with Express. I liked Nolte best (rubber lips on the cabinet and generally some details). When asked about the price difference between Nolte and Nobilia, the kitchen salesperson said it always depends – but generally he would say that Nobilia might be somewhat cheaper. I then had him do the planning and we ended up with almost the same layout as the last plan here – funny actually. Appliances were upper mid-range – A+++ fridge-freezer combo from Siemens, A+ -10% oven also from Siemens, A++ dishwasher without Zeolite, extractor hood (nothing special), ceramic hob. Non-negotiable price of the Nolte kitchen with a smooth matte lacquer front was €10,600 – worktop Savanna something (meaning melamine resin coated) – although the discounts will probably be limited (that was my feeling). With a country-style matte lacquer front it would cost about €1,000 more, he said. He wants to plan the same again with Nobilia and say whether it would be cheaper.

Now he called again and said that with Nobilia the whole thing would cost 10,000 €. I am torn between Nolte and Ikea - Nobilia is out for me.

Then take a look at the built-in details such as hinges, internal drawers, and stability and feasibility of Ikea and compare with Nolte

Ikea would also be feasible. Drawers and hinges seem better at Nolte (although I haven't been to Ikea for a while). Nolte drawers have side panels, Ikea drawers have rods. The corpus is colored and has a rubber sealing lip, at Ikea it is white. Now, the €4500 from Ikea stand against €7600 from Nolte (I tried to exclude the electrical appliances) - if I subtract another €1000 for assembly, the Nolte kitchen is actually €2000 more expensive - so good 30% - difficult. To top it all off, my wife just told me she doesn't like the planned blue. I can already see, we'll move in without a kitchen.

I find it exciting with you.
During our kitchen purchase, there was only a brief discussion regarding the lighting.
I am curious to see how you will decide.

Today I had the whole thing planned again by phone with the Windsor Front:

And again for comparison the blue smooth one:

My wife didn’t like the blue one at all and had wished for the whole thing in brown. Total price now 11k €. I had thought about maybe entering into a slight negotiation and asking for somewhat better electrical appliances at the same price. Has anyone ever tried something like that?
