Thank you for the pictures. Still 3 questions about them. 1. Do the screws from Vaglig fit or are shorter ones needed? 2. How much did you pay for the milling out? 3. Did you seal the milled out spots and if so, with what?

Hi! The whole thing cost 75 €! Well.. I used the screws from Väglig (Product No. 100347), but you have to carefully pre-drill the holes first, I also used classic wood screws 4/12mm for that - but all screws were too long for me because I had the panels milled too deep (8 mm deep) - only have it milled really for the thickness of the Väglig rail (about 5mm? I’m not exactly sure). Then I used the washers. I did not seal the milled out spots but that wouldn’t be a bad idea, maybe you can do that with waterproof glue.

Hello, I am new here and have -almost- the same problem. Since I have to install 2 40cm fronts and the mounting of the Siemens Vario hinge starts at about 21cm from the top, a flat iron should provide enough stability, right? Thank you in advance, Horst

Hello, I have bought a Siemens SX778X16TE and want to integrate it into the new Metod kitchen.

The dishwasher has a Vario hinge and is an XXL appliance. That means the plinth/front height should fit. However, I have three questions:

- What about the blankett handle? It is screwed to the back of the front. I have read somewhere that it then rubs against the dishwasher. Does anyone have a tip here? Should washers be installed under the hangers that are screwed into the front to keep the front further away from the dishwasher? Will it still glide correctly then?

- I would like to screw three fronts together for a uniform look. For this, you have to use VAGLIG. Unfortunately, this adds a lot of thickness and will not fit. Are there any experiences with this? Or should I better leave it and take a single front?

- The Metod front is 597mm wide, according to Siemens the front may be 594mm wide. Do you think this makes a difference? If I still align the holes for the hangers centrally, everything should fit, right?

Many thanks in advance Benny

Hello Benny,

regarding your second question: just take a look a few posts above, where hofiak shared his experiences (routing tracks) (pictures are in the gallery). However, this is not possible with handleless fronts, as they are very thin in the area of the grip strips.
