New kitchen - dishwasher from Ikea or another manufacturer?

I am not an expert, just currently dealing with the same topic and wanted to quickly write you something regarding your question.

We also decided against an IKEA dishwasher because the reviews scared me off, as the IKEA expert here already mentioned! However, the main reason against an IKEA device for me was definitely the price!

Just have a look on Idealo.de for your desired device and you will sit there wide-eyed thinking, "why should I take an IKEA 'no name' device (yes, I know they are all well-known manufacturers, you just don’t know who) when I can get a Siemens device for the same price!"

I had a Miele dishwasher for years and then moved into a rental apartment where there was already an IKEA dishwasher installed, and it’s really no comparison! But of course, there are certainly other opinions!

Regarding the choice of the dishwasher, you should make sure to choose an XXL model with a Vario hinge, as that is what allows installation into a Metod cabinet! For example, we decided on this model: Siemens SX76P030EU, it cost us €300 and is also an A

I just saw it on Idealo! The best thing is to set up the price alert there, then you will get an email when the desired price is reached and you have to strike immediately. I just looked at the price trend again - and for that model you’re lucky that with a little patience you will get it cheaper again soon! That’s how we did it and then ordered it through Crowdfox (was the cheapest provider)!

As far as I'm concerned, it can say Mercedes or Dacia on the dishwashers. What matters to me is that such a device reliably does its job and does not constantly break down, let water run back (water bag), turn on the pump without being in operation, and that I don’t have to wait several days for the technician during my vacation... and at least our Välgjord managed that... personally, devices from IKEA are no longer an option for me. What use is a 5-year warranty if I have to spend my vacation with service technicians and in the end, I still go to a local dealer to finally have a household appliance that does what you want it to do...

We now have Skinande, after a good year everything is okay. It washes, it does that. What else should it be able to do? I don’t expect it to play the piano. It just washes day after day, otherwise I ignore it and if it breaks down, so what, then I take a new one. I don’t let much be repaired on it.
