Thanks Ikea expert!
At your link, there is an offer for the SX778D01TE for 860 Euro including delivery to Austria, I have not seen this model anywhere this cheap so far.
However, I am currently considering installing a semi-integrated XXL model in my Metod kitchen using the Stefan method.
I would like the SX56N596EU, which would cost about 630 Euro and has a cutlery drawer and low water consumption.
If I place the appliance as low as possible (appliance height would then be 86.5 cm), I would need:
from top to bottom:
1.) A front strip about 2 cm high just below the countertop, cut from a 10 cm Bodbyn front
2.) Then comes the control panel of the GSB, according to the dimension drawing 11.4 cm high.
3.) Then another front strip about 6.6 cm high, also cut from the 10 cm front.
4.) Then a 20 cm and below that a 40 cm front (because next to it is a domsjö sink cabinet with also 20 cm and 40 cm fronts)
This adds up to 2 + 11.4 + 6.6 + 20 + 40 = 80 cm in total.
The only problem is the minimum distance from the bottom edge of the front to the floor of 90 mm according to the dishwasher dimension drawing.
I have now measured in my kitchen, the cabinet legs are currently adjusted so that the distance between the floor and bottom edge of the front is exactly 85 mm, i.e., I would have a maximum difference of about 5 mm between the cabinet front bottom edge of the neighboring cabinet and the front bottom edge of the dishwasher, and I can live with that. I do not want to raise the legs any higher because otherwise I would have to raise all the cabinets higher in the entire kitchen (U-shape).
Here I have also made a sketch:
Does anyone see a problem with why the installation of a semi-integrated XXL dishwasher according to the Stefan method should not work?
