I don't understand why people worry so much about something like that, when there are so many contaminated areas in Germany. The nuclear power plants are/were not to blame for that. I lived in Goslar for 13 years. And just say Goslar-Oker. Children are often not allowed to play in the garden there. This is talked about less and the focus is only on nuclear power plants. Personally, I am in favor of nuclear power plants in Germany as long as there are so many in neighboring countries and new ones are being built.

I can warmly recommend Horst Lüning’s channel on YT to everyone here.

For those who don’t know him, they should know that he supports and uses renewable energies himself. He also owns a Tesla.

He asked an interesting question about gas. Does Russia violate the agreements or not? Interestingly, there is nothing about this in the newspaper.

In my opinion, the Greens are driving our country economically into the wall with their resistance to nuclear power. On 1.1.2023 it could become problematic if everyone switches on their electric heaters.

Horst Lüning considered (considered?) human rights global warming to be a conspiracy story, since the greenhouse effect cannot exist per se. The video series is no longer available on his channel. If he has learned anything, he does not make it transparent. Not a good source for information, in my opinion. It is of course a source of opinion. Legitimate, but I am not sure where that leads.

I believe there were few who thought this plan was inherently bad. Gas is not the only problem. Dependence on Russia is the real problem. And of course, that the energy transition was decided on but only halfheartedly carried out.

If there had been more active efforts in certain areas, energy demand would probably decrease even more than it already does.

Yes, that is also the case, the energy transition is supported or accepted by the population. Complaining always happens, that is human nature. However, there can be no talk of half-heartedness. Of course, more can still be done, but in my opinion, what has been achieved is still tremendous.

Really? And that's why we have problems now, because so much has been achieved? The problem with all parties is that action is only taken when something happens or when people die. See, for example, the; in my view; foolish phase-out of nuclear power because something happened in Japan. It makes no sense at all if it is not decided EU-wide and nuclear power plants from other countries are still standing at the border. And if, for example, nuclear power plants were subsidized, I am very sure that research could continue and the problem of final disposal would solve itself. Not today, but in a few years. Just like the limited range of electric cars.
