The left-green voter is certainly aware that since last week about 4000 US soldiers have been staying on and around the island of Bornholm. What a coincidence. It was certainly also a coincidence that the GPS systems have not been working since last Friday. At least the US and European satellites. Some had to be reprogrammed to Indian satellites. Certainly just a conspiracy theory. Also that the euro is currently losing massive value. 0.9551 against the dollar right now. That is already more than a 5 percent loss in less than a month. Well, the goal has been achieved and we are completely cut off from Russian energy supplies. At least from January 2023 the oil pipelines on the German side will also be shut off. The last straw will also be burned. Added to that is the uncontrolled and of course desired immigration into our social systems at the same time as the collapse of our economy. BASF, for example, is threatening to shut down the German plants, etc. I do not know whether all this is so wise.

The GPS not working (correctly) for civilian users in times of crisis is not new since the satellites are "shifted" as needed to, for example, gain higher resolution/accuracy for certain military areas. Regarding the other nonsense, I'll say nothing except that I certainly suspect a lot of the Americans and that the USA has NOT "eaten democracy with a spoon" (but neither have we!) And anyone who has read my text carefully could only, with many prejudices, read out who I specifically suspect of sabotaging the pipelines. (I just read it again on purpose. And no, it doesn't say who I suspect, really not)

Just don’t overdramatize.
The soldiers were not ON Bornholm. Bornholm is a sensitive point because the island was actually occupied by the Soviets at the end of WWII and only under the condition that no other troops would be stationed there did the USSR withdraw from here. As far as I know, the plans to station US troops have not been implemented. If you have found other reports, feel free to share them.

What is true, however, is that until a few days ago a NATO exercise led by the USA with the USS Kearsarge and escort ships was conducted in this area. The ships naturally all operate without automatic identification there and thus cannot be located.
By the way, the large US fleet group already left the Baltic Sea last Thursday, 09/22/22. But that would have been too obvious.
It is very hard to imagine that the Russians would go there right now and sabotage the pipelines where NATO ships are swarming around.

Thousands of US Soldiers on Three Ships
A total of 4,000 US soldiers, helicopter pilots, marine infantrymen, doctors, and strategists are on their way east. On Wednesday morning around 6 a.m., the unit already passed the Danish island of Bornholm, then the Americans turn off their automatic ship identification systems (AIS) and can no longer be located without further means.
"Controlled Escalation"
"A message," that is what Sebastian Bruns calls the behavior of the Americans, as well as a "controlled escalation." Sebastian Bruns is an expert in naval strategies and naval forces at the Kiel Institute for Security Policy (ISPK). It is even a double message, he says: "On the one hand to Sweden and Finland as well as the Baltic states, that the USA will protect them from Russian threats." On the other hand, it is a message to Russia itself.

This is the report of Norddeutscher Rundfunk, a well-known and certainly quality media opinion leader.

Why should the Russians actually blow up their own pipeline? In the presence of strong NATO troop formations in the immediate vicinity of the attacks. But let's just wait for Russia’s reaction. I cannot imagine it remaining without consequences.

But maybe it was Luise Neubauer after all. She wanted to blow up the pipeline already in June.
The prominent climate activist Luisa Neubauer (26) causes a stir with a provocative statement. "We plan to blow up a pipeline"

I consider it an attack on Germany’s energy security and infrastructure. Unfortunately, neither politics nor the German judiciary say anything about it. And, of course, the question must be asked how well our entire other infrastructure is protected.
Are we protecting ourselves from further sabotage acts, and could the USA possibly be our enemy?

With a bit of money invested in dGPS, private users can also achieve cm-accuracy. Is there any evidence for lower accuracy?

"Selective Availability" has indeed been activated several times, but satellites from the 3rd generation onwards are not supposed to have this capability anymore.
So I take back my statement in this regard! (My information was unfortunately outdated, sorry for that, I’m too old).

Possible deliberate interference with jamming signals also doesn't make as much sense nowadays with alternatives to GPS as it did in the 90s, but it is not completely ruled out by some experts.

(in which I was standing in a foreign city with an external GPS receiver and a subnotebook on the passenger seat and had to dig out maps again because the Iraq war led to GPS being unavailable)
