Pinkiponk: Thanks for the hint. I am fully aware that I should deal with it more to form a judgment that is plausible for me. However, I don't have the time or desire. I just find it always shocking how opinions are supposed to be formed with accusations and quotes or how these are supposed to be used as "arguments" for oneself.
: what would be your suggestion? 7 cents then become 14.....hmm....we already regularly pay 16 cents.
My suggestion: there are quotas. Let's assume a three-person household needs on average 12,000 kWh per year. These cost e.g. 10 cents. Everything consumed beyond that then costs real money. By the way, I am also aware here that it makes a difference whether one lives in an old uninsulated shack or in a new building. A truly fair solution probably won't exist.
It would be truly fair if there were reliable perspectives from politics. If it is clear that fossil fuels become 20% more expensive every year (not more, but also not less), everyone can plan sensibly and think about what to do with their house, property, and car in the next few years. If we had started in the 60s, when climate change was clear, 5% would have been enough. We messed that up; now there just has to be a bit more pressure on the boiler.

Would it then be fair if grandma, who built up our country, knew that in 3 years she won’t be able to pay her gas bill anymore and would therefore have to sell her hard-earned house? Her pension isn’t enough for renovation.
You will never achieve real justice.
From my point of view, a reasonable subsidy would make more sense.
But first, we would have to start producing parts for renewable energies again in Germany. What use are all the measures if you can’t even switch over?
Don't always come with the poor, old granny. Either she has enough money or not. It won't fail because of heating costs.
And by "reasonable support" you probably mean more than the current 50%, right? ;-)
I fully agree with the last point.
Yes, for some it will fail because of heating costs. And it would even with a 20% annual increase. And this affects many people who have built our country.
No, by support I mean rather a reasonable feed-in tariff and an end to the senseless taxation of private individuals. Then rather a subsidy for storage systems so that everyone first uses their own electricity themselves (from my layman's perspective that is more effective than feeding in first and then taking it back) and, for example, the approval of cars that can store and supply electricity.
Is there currently generally 50% support for renewable energies? As far as I know, there is nothing at all for photovoltaics.
