Unfortunately, I am not allowed to distribute links here, but all relevant institutes have already thought about this 15 years ago. It works. Faster and cheaper than anything else.

So no. We do not agree.

Edit: Perhaps as an addition: Even if you don’t believe it works, it would already help us a lot if we only bridged the times with fossil electricity that cannot be covered by [EE]. That way, we would already be 80% done with the energy transition and would have more time for the last 20%.

Hello Deliverer

how? In short words. The reality is that we have phased out all secure energies and now have to manage with wind and sun. so: how do the Greens want to store electricity in order to maintain base load capacity during windlessness and/or night? The wishful dream of your trampoline jumper that electricity is stored in the grid and pushed to the consumer by goblins when needed was sweet, but not real. What unknown force have you discovered to store electricity on a gigantic scale? And then I hope you will take responsibility for the many deaths caused by carbon monoxide in homes, as people desperately try to warm their small child with charcoal.

Why so excited? Did the search engine results not meet expectations? ;-)

So, a few words:
In the European interconnected grid, the sun almost always shines and there is absolutely always wind.
Electric cars with Vehicle-to-grid.
Battery storage.
Load-dependent electricity pricing models.
A little bit of Power-to-gas.

That, together with - compared to now 85% reduced - energy imports, and the energy transition is done. (Also mobility and heating, of course.)

Hello Deliverer well, I am quite stunned. You really have no clue how to fix the dilemma you have caused. It is interesting that you have imperial fantasies. In your empire the sun is never supposed to set. We will talk again next spring. Cold apartments, the economy on its knees and the war at the door. Well done! Steven

I don't quite understand - do you think we have a problem because we need too many fossil fuels and they are very expensive, or do we have a problem because we have too many [Renewables]? The CDU is to blame for one, maybe the Greens are partly responsible for the other. And what does the war have to do with climate change? Maybe you need to sort out your theses if you want me to understand them and respond appropriately.

If you just want to vent frustration, that's also okay. But then please do it via PM, so it doesn't bother the others as much.

That doesn't tell me much right now. From 20 to 35 or from 5 to 20? 75% more expensive (still crap…) or 300%? Correction. I read "up to" and not "by". Current price?
