What do I have to believe in? Is climate change a religion or a phenomenon to be described scientifically? But you address our real problem very clearly: "belief in climate change" is the new green state religion. And just like in the Middle Ages, modern indulgence sellers are making a killing from it. They just had to rename purgatory to "climate heating" or something similar. It's a shame; I had hoped we would be further along in our cultural development...

First, we need to extend the operating life of the nuclear power plants so that we don’t have to continue generating electricity from gas. The reality is that without gas-generated power, the expansion of renewables will also have to be significantly reduced... Otherwise, a blackout or a major economic collapse will occur. By then, the smarter ones among the Greens will have slipped away, and the rest might be unpleasantly surprised. Otherwise, I would be interested to know what the previous speaker is doing to personally offset their biologically caused CO2 emissions to zero over their lifetime?

"We have a gas crisis, but no electricity crisis." Either he really does not know any better, in which case he is underqualified for his position and should return to his children's books, or he deliberately misled, which does not make it any better. Actually, it is even worse....

We are currently massively burning gas because half of the great nuclear power plants in France are offline.

A phenomenon to be described scientifically.
Global warming caused by additional CO2 is a measured fact.

So "indulgence trading" is not a good analogy.

You just have to bite into one of two sour apples:
- Transformation of the system with undesirable side effects.
- Higher warming of the Earth than without this transformation, with undesirable side effects.

What is not available is: Everything as before without side effects. That is the life lie of the "anti-greens."

There were quotation marks around it for a specific reason. Unfortunately, I can't underchallenge everyone at the same time…
