On the linked Mydealz page, it is often mentioned that in the Media Markt promotion the kWh price depends on the amount of consumption.
Why is that? When signing the contract, you have to provide last year's consumption, but what does that say about future consumption?
I signed such a contract with MM (EON) effective from 1.12. and stated my last year's consumption from my current apartment of 1200 kWh.
Around the turn of the year, we will move into our new building, where I want to transfer the new electricity contract.
Thanks to the heat pump, we will then need multiple times the amount of electricity.
Can E.ON therefore cancel the contract or adjust the kWh price retroactively if they realize that my consumption no longer corresponds to last year's consumption at all?
If not, then anyone could lie at contract signing and state the previous year's consumption that results in the best price...
