A new approach! Thank you very much for the demonstration!

The balcony solution is quite interesting. A new approach.

The upper floor layout would of course deviate quite a bit from what we wanted.

We wanted a completely separated parent's area. In addition, due to the daily routine, the bathroom should not be located immediately next to the sleeping area, so that the person who is sleeping is not awakened by the spouse showering at 4 a.m. and disturbed by their coming and going. Therefore, a sequence like sleeping ---> dressing room ---> bathroom was quite good.

What exactly is a flat roof with a hipped roof section? Do you have example photos?

The bathroom can also have a door to the corridor, the dressing room is accessible without going through the bedroom. Don't take my sketch too "literally" - it is meant to suggest an alternative direction. Oh, did I describe that so poorly? Simply raise the walls of the corridor* and cover them with a hipped roof (possibly entirely or partially as a glass prism), around it remains a flat roof. *) only as high as the exterior walls

Well, I haven't measured it exactly, but then just push the dressing room in front of the bathroom and the bedroom around the corner, so swap the bedroom and dressing room, that should work too. At the expense of closet space, you could then only have one door into the parents' area.

Overall, I find every design with the kitchen on the right better.

Combine the airlock and wardrobe: ABSOLUTELY!

The bedroom should not face the street was a condition. I believe the room program was not really the problem anymore anyway.

Is there any reason not to continue working with the rough plan I posted yesterday? They have already simplified many things there. And with the pipes, it might cost a little more, but then I have the floor plan as it should be and I don’t plan around the pipes.

I would like to see a photo of the posted roof. Apparently, I am using the wrong search terms since I can’t find anything like that on Google.

I agree. The kitchen on the right is good. But without a passage door to the outside, instead with a corner window.

Combining the airlock and wardrobe is an option. The other option is that we have decided to do without the shower on the ground floor. The WC would be smaller, and the wardrobe bigger again.

The architect strongly recommends this additional airlock to keep gasoline and rubber odors from the garage away from the wardrobe. As it is now, the wardrobe definitely cannot remain. And the shower should be removed regardless of the airlock/wardrobe situation.

Exactly. That’s how it is. We are very satisfied with the room program as it looks now.

The airlock is so narrow and therefore useless. It seems to be there just to have 2 doors. With different WC furniture, the shower can also remain in the WC, but that gives more space to the wardrobe.... if the airlock is really necessary because of the odors, then give it more space. Otherwise, I am also in favor of combining.
