Could you please explain that in more detail? It’s clear that the statics become complicated because of that. But I know a new building with an even longer exterior wall length and a recessed top floor all around (!) that is still KFW40. What exactly do you see as the challenge?

... is: diplomatically put

That in itself is not a problem - it is normal when the building is correspondingly larger.

If it can be well supported underneath, it is basically feasible.

The specific difficulty here is, on the one hand, that like scissors the upper "blade" lies exactly next to the lower one; and I see nothing on which these virtually continuous girders could rest. Additionally, it follows that the thermal insulation of the ceiling panels at this shifted junction with the exterior walls also runs correspondingly continuously along this ridge.

They have now tried to simplify things a bit.

The idea came up to create the possibility of a corner window, since the kitchen is now on the right, to catch the morning sun: it is drawn here as a patio door, but if it is realized, it should become a corner window. Since this part of the building would be somewhat more complex in terms of construction, we will have to see if it is implemented.

Otherwise, I think it's a pretty good idea. There are still many details to clarify:

- maybe remove the shower from the ground floor, and instead make the wardrobe bigger
- floor-to-ceiling window in front of the ground floor WC? I don't know...
- the shower situation in the children's bathroom was already mentioned
- balcony railing attached to the rear facade
- revision of the windows... I don't like the patio door situation yet; need to think about it

Otherwise, I find the whole thing quite good. However, I don’t know the new calculation yet. The area is a bit larger but there should be construction-related cost advantages. I’m curious.

Exceptionally, I will start with the praise: the "order" of the window openings has become much clearer. And at least one can now see that someone has begun to think about the structural engineering.

Nevertheless, overall I am not impressed. What style / stiel / stihl is this supposed to be? – there are flat-roof houses, there are hipped-roof houses – so why then an "I don’t know what it’s supposed to mean"?

On the one hand, you make an effort not to make the house look like many others – on the other hand, I keep seeing on the "3D" drawings that it wears those unavoidable leopard print leggings, which in Porz cleaning lady chic probably already have to be counted among the basics.

Even if I repeat myself: the dose of "individuality" that appears just sufficient on the planning scale later tastes oversalted in full size.

This is a flat-roof house with a hipped roof and still too heavily applied building mass and facade articulation.

In my childhood there was an audio play where Stoffel wants to cook for Wolfgang. In the end, there is a soup with lemonade, chocolate, and noodles – individually all things Wolfgang likes. Nevertheless, it doesn’t taste good, although it was cooked with love.

I also have the flat roof look here. But I like it less.....

From the back, however, I agree with you that the hip roof doesn't fit 100% yet. But that is also due to the partial cladding, which does not fit with the hip roof and may not be relevant. However, we agreed to first finish planning the building and then address such details. That also makes sense. Because it is theoretically possible that the building authority will ultimately not approve the hip roof and it will then be the flat roof....

We are just glad that the bay window is now history.

What are Leo print leggings?

Well, the "partial cladding". The sprayed-on parapet is just as beautiful. Seemingly harmless in the drawing, but massive in "real life".
