Ok, then I'll dig through the calculation now.

Unfortunately, I don't see in the numbers that the constructive simplifications compared to the criticized design here are reflected in the figures. I need to request a statement on that.

One approach would be to give up the spaciousness in the living room in order to somehow also forgo the roof terrace at the same time. That would solve almost all budget concerns in one go.

That sounds good. I would consider a kind of "shell house": postponing doors and floor coverings in the basement to later, as well as the interior plaster of the garage or maybe initially just its floor slab, etc. For daylight in the hallway, I would give the doors of the utility room and children's bathroom transom windows up to the ceiling.

That would interest me, what do you use as a skylight there?

That was my first thought until winnetou78 had the idea with the Velux spots. That seems equivalent in effect and possibly even lower in cost.

That should make it clear that the design remains as it is..... great!

I think you might not even have to touch the garage. The basement should be enough.... water softening system later, etc. — better to spend money beforehand in the sanitary studio.

One thought before was that the architect checks how much space in the living and dining area would be lost if the roof terrace were eliminated and the ground floor and upper floor walls were aligned. Then only a balcony upstairs with doors from the bedroom and utility room, which would also serve as a roof for the terrace. I would have been interested to see how much distance from wall to wall in the living area would then be..... that would have resolved any budget considerations at once.

Clear glass. On the wet room side it is smooth; on the hallway side you apply a frosting film to make the light more diffuse.

My old song with different lyrics. Secondly, this mostly eliminated the need for the beams altogether, and first of all, you would lose no space at all: what disappeared under the laundry drying balcony would come back under the upper floor one on the right side by pushing out the exterior wall*. The total area would be neutral. At least the corner window wouldn’t suffer any loss due to the bay projection being only half as wide then, "sacrificing" it - possibly even the whole bay, but you were already so far.

*) the basement must of course be included

If you finally say the mentioned six meters forty may be only 5.80m instead of six meters twenty, we can release you as cured

Every reduced exaggerated profiling of the cubature opens a door to successfully applying proportional aesthetics on the surfaces.

(See also successful "counterexamples" by or or - who even all get by with small roof overhangs).

Although I find Artos and Poroton okay, have your house alternatively calculated by Massivhaus Mittelrhein as Adventis or Domus (if necessary also Villa).

Still don't understand, are we talking about elements that can be inserted into the normal partition wall?
Where can you get such things?
