In your experience, is a 1-meter-wide staircase actually sufficient? Don't you constantly bump into the wall there?

I have read all of this now ...

[*]Kitchen facing the garden/terrace ... I would find that much more suitable
[*]I would have placed the large TV in the basement room planned as a home theater from the beginning, and then on the ground floor a living area with maybe a small TV, more for reading, and perhaps combined rather with
[*]Children’s bathroom in the latest version ... swapping WC and shower ... the shower so tight and small by the window, whereas currently the WC compartment with privacy wall I find a bad solution.
[*]Children’s room ... I would rather avoid floor-to-ceiling windows there (privacy and think about where things are placed and how that looks from the outside)
[*]Note garage door / pantry definitely pay attention to and make the door wider. Considering a basement, I wonder what all should fit into the pantry. I would rather plan a smaller storage room for vacuum cleaner/mops etc., and few supplies. The rest then rather in the basement.
[*]Overall, by utilizing the spaces and the above-defined combinations, one could certainly save 10 to 15 sqm of living space and not be worse off.

1 meter width plus railing: not only sufficient, but good!

Best regards in short

I agree with that. We have 1 meter width with a straight staircase. It is very comfortable and spacious. Fits perfectly!

With this “method,” it reliably results in Insalata mista: doorless passages of 80 cm, whereas with a door they would be 88 cm; massive powerlifting front door 126 cm wide, on the way to the kitchen you then have to get 46 cm slimmer; four double-wing windows in kitchen / living room / office / cloakroom have three different widths; passages to the kitchen are 80 cm wide when it’s located at the front (but when it was at the back, it was still 101 cm); the hinge directions of the bedroom and child 1 room doors should be seen as botched even by a layperson.

... is a remark I had saved myself because, in my opinion, it immediately catches the eye. All the more I was then surprised by your question

because in the garage you actually scrape along the wall the entire transport way. I would probably move the garage half a meter (which also fits the wall strips next to the gate) into the garden, then it works.

Here is the latest version with the integrated requirements.

The ground floor in two variants, which differ in the area of the couch. I can also quite well imagine that the balcony door and the couch side meet in the middle. I see version 1 less, version 2 maybe..... possibly I will also ask the architect tomorrow, based on version 1, to let the wall above the couch and the wall with the terrace door move towards each other to meet in the middle.

The upper floor was, in my opinion, well optimized in terms of space. The staircase was widened slightly as requested (even though it was said lately that 1 meter width would be enough.... at that point my thoughts to the architect were already sent; but this does not seem to have detracted from the overall design).

Attached is also a basement. Although I still need to look at it carefully. It is probably too large. And the guest room / light well is only considered in one of the ground floor versions.

How do you like the larger area in front of the staircase on the ground floor? I like the reduction of the pantry in order to enlarge the passage between kitchen / living room. The corner towards the study I don’t like so much. But overall this design is another big step forward.

The architect wrote that he moved the staircase slightly to the left to achieve a bit more symmetry.
