Of course, the floors belong together. But can we please just accept that we are not that far yet? The ground floor has to be fixed, from that the upper floor results for us.

Money, a lot of money, what does that actually mean for you? We were already given an estimate in the first discussions. Let’s see what actually comes out of it. Our budget can be irrelevant for now if the focus is on optimizing the floor plan.

As I already wrote, I expect SUGGESTIONS on how the layout can be changed.
Attached is the draft, in which the passage was the dressing room, the bathroom on the right-hand side, and at the end the bedroom.
Unfortunately, in this variant the bathroom is not as nice as in the drawing in the opening post.

Hello Ypsi

the cheapest construction method is a rectangle.
Anything deviating from that costs more money.
Have the costs calculated precisely for your dream house. That will not be cheap.

Hello Steven, that is clear to us.. We are first of all looking forward to concrete offers! We can always fall back on the rectangle if necessary... even though it would be difficult for us. I am initially hoping for constructive proposals regarding the floor plan, especially the ground floor.

Just from the first responses you can already tell which direction this is going... tone-wise, you’re building the first walls before even a few pieces of advice have been given, it’s a shame. The questionnaire has its reason, even if you may not notice it at first glance. You were already told that both floors always need to be considered together, your "doesn’t matter" is not helpful here. The budget is always asked because people invest a lot of time (will invest) here and therefore want to know whether the effort is worth it or if castles in the air are being built, so please don’t just exclude that as easily as you tried above. When and how many children are planned? Which knee wall is preferred, or which roof shape? Simply "doesn’t matter" or "everything is possible" doesn’t help much either, because – see above – no one likes to fiddle multiple times per roof shape. You leave far too many things open and vague overall, which might be an advantage elsewhere but is rather disadvantageous here for any possible support... Regarding the current ground floor: it has visual charm, I like the deviation from the crowd, but I also see the parents’ area as a crutch. Maybe a better solution can be crafted, I would always access it through the dressing room.

The shell construction of your Corners Corners costs approximately as much as a shell construction Rectangle with 170 sqm floor area.
In addition, roof outbuildings, beams, possibly thicker ceiling.

About the floor plan:
The staircase seems a bit narrow.
How should the wardrobe be designed if the walking direction has to be changed due to the roof pitch?
I find the wardrobe unfortunately placed. You walk with socks through the dirty area.

Dining area: please draw the table with occupied chairs. It looks very much like the minimum size. It will be very tight with your door to the parent area. The dining area is too dark for me.
Furniture in the living room appears very small.

Parent section dressing room too narrow.
Access to parent section through the bedroom is more than impractical.
Location to the common room does not ensure restful sleep.
Why not classic sleeping upstairs?

3 bathrooms cost money and have to be maintained.

I am open to suggestions. I even hope for them! Unfortunately, none have come so far...

How am I supposed to answer the questions if I (still) don’t know the answer myself?
It is preferred to have no sloping ceilings on the upper floor, so everything is full room height. Since we only have the regulation of 1.5 full stories, otherwise open construction, we are quite flexible.

Which question from the questionnaire do you miss for a better assessment?
