Still annoying that we moved individual walls back and forth for weeks, widened corridors, etc., and now it is all obsolete. The 1.40m corridor width cannot remain any more than the 1.10m wide stair steps.

Pantry is still changing now, study, basement probably, wardrobe.....

That would annoy me too. But better now properly - someday you'll laugh about this wasted time

In short, greetings

Whereas I would expect a bit more basic knowledge of statics from an architect...

But maybe sometimes give the design to another home builder: we had one who would have realized our design only with a steel beam in the middle.
We can do without that now (he was also the only one); however, we have an architect who is on familiar terms with statics (statement from a home builder: if I get the plans from him, then I know it works, you can build it just like that.) But he also learned carpentry before studying.

Either you have a hat face or you don't. This also applies to houses. You can't just build the same house arbitrarily with different roof shapes – in my opinion, that is not aesthetically feasible.

So what is it for then?

Allegedly, the architect had increased the house size to almost 240m² without consultation. He always told me 220m². But I didn't add it up.

And there is no budget for such a large area.

I can only agree with 11ant there, you can't just put a hipped roof or similar on a house designed in the Bauhaus style. Your cantilevered roof on the street front does not look good to me with a hipped roof. The whole design is no longer coherent like this (my opinion). I would redesign if it is to be a different roof shape.
