The doors are simply placed in the planned position. Without consideration of the stop. That will be done correctly later. Sorry

Because the property is 18m wide, the garage is to be connected to the house.

It is always the same here in the forum: someone asks for an opinion on their floor plan and you get the feeling that at first they are confronted with everything they didn’t consider and how you could do it differently and how one could even come up with such a floor plan ts ts ts ts. Instead of kindly pointing out that this or that might be worth improving. That then has nothing to do with "you have to be able to take criticism" when people let themselves be carried away by comments like "I don’t like the bathroom"...

Where is the added value in such feedback from which the original poster can benefit?

Then better say nothing at all. But that is difficult for some here...

@Crick; under the conditions you mentioned I find your floor plan basically good. What has already been mentioned and seems so to me as well, is that the area to the right of the entrance, due to its corridor shape, will hardly have any practical use for you.

I would keep the shower in the WC. Or do you actually want the guest room on the ground floor but the guest uses the bathroom upstairs? From my point of view that doesn’t make much sense..

I find the room layout upstairs with the two large children’s rooms good, especially because the small hallway transfers living space into the rooms. But: that is of course only my opinion, others find open galleries very nice, I think how often do I stay in the gallery? To each their own...

To the guest WC with shower:

that is certainly a matter of taste. I can only say one thing: In our guest WC (rental house) no one has ever showered, but it is very cramped for going to the toilet and washing hands. Good that we’re all thin, otherwise you could get stuck somewhere. I also don’t know how you’re supposed to dry off if you shower in there... That is very annoying and in my opinion wasted space.

I don’t know how often the OP has guests, but my overnight guests are allowed to use my bathroom too - otherwise I wouldn’t let them stay here.

Best regards milkie

@aytex Thank you very much for your post. We absolutely want to have an enclosed wardrobe where shoes, jackets, ... of 4 adults can disappear. The "Garderobenschlauch" is 110cm wide and about 3m long. It's actually relatively big. As we think. There should be a lot to store there as well. The shower in the guest WC was an absolute must for us. That is why the size is also about 4.5sqm for this room. This shower should not be used exclusively for guests, but also serve as a backup in the morning. :-) It should not be cramped, actually.

Good morning,

@aytex:
I can only make suggestions for improvement if I have some measurements, know the property, and understand the reasons why, for example, the garage is moved to the back.

Basically, a house structure should be adapted to the property. We now have 35 meters in length (unless I miscalculated) and 16 meters in width: I would already prefer a rectangular floor plan (as long as it is allowed by the building envelope).
Then maybe don’t just stick the garage at the back, but move it further forward, because this way you make the driveway unnecessarily long.

Because of the furnishing (shower at the front in the guest WC, dining table in the middle of the room, and kitchen at the back, narrow wardrobe and furnishing in the guest room) there are many objects in the way, so that little can be used properly and nicely. For example, only one person can be in the wardrobe at a time; otherwise, you get in your own way. The wardrobe can only be placed against the rear exterior wall, which again leaves too much circulation space in front that is unused.
A 9 sqm guest room can work, but not with the layout as here.
Groceries have to be carried through the whole house to finally get around the kitchen island to the pantry (with the garage position, even before that around the house), which is clearly too much for a household of four.
You can also see at first glance that the windows in the living room are blocked by the sofa.

One could also just smash it here… but you first ask what the reasons are for this and that to carefully drop a hint... :)

I don’t find the floor plan at all appealing or functional and have no idea how to make it better with small adjustments because so much information is missing. Standard floor plans for square layouts are available on the web that somehow work better, even if just standard. A large rectangular room as living/dining/kitchen also somehow lacks structure.

But that doesn’t matter. You can understand and start anew, or you want it exactly like this. :)

@crick 3.00m long is good but 1.10m is a bit small. Let's assume you place a cabinet system there with 50-60cm depth, there won't be much left to maneuver.. Best to recreate this situation in the current apartment, we have done that quite often and learned a lot from it...
