Defensive offer, or have house prices become so expensive?

So, many build here for less – or not at all. Or buy used houses in non-metropolitan belt areas for 400,000. What is presented here partly distorts the average quite a bit. I also don't assume that the properties I get to see in my work in one of the most expensive regions in Germany today are normal. And yes, the owners of these properties also like to complain about how they are being ripped off. I get my prejudices about millionaires and their loss of touch with reality confirmed free of charge every day. ;) The plain ordinary property does not cost >750,000,-

I would doubt that. The renovation-free property in the metropolitan commuter belt for 400K would interest me. Maybe right next to the highway/airport/landfill - something like that? But I wouldn’t use that as a generalization.

Fortunately, everyone currently has the oh-so-missed freedom NOT to read something. I watch "Bauer sucht Frau" because I like it. If I then watch dozens of episodes despite not liking it and complain after 100 hours of watching about the loss of my precious time, neither the woman nor any of the cows are responsible for that. There used to be a button for that... nowadays it's the mouse.

I wrote that many simply do not build in the commuter belts. Friends of ours bought a 15-year-old house with 2 hectares of land and a garage near Oldenburg for 380,000 euros for their family of four. They always laugh when I tell them about the prices here around Starnberg.

Oh, misread. Sorry. Yes, life is even cheaper in Hinterpupsdorf. But it was about cities and the price increases there.

And just to shatter the impression of the mega-giant property supposedly for the ultra-rich upper class, here is a comparable house with land: Immowelt: "Dreamily beautiful two-family house on the Elbe with approx. 2,054 m² plot" €1,550,000. In my opinion, this is still not a luxury villa. It is a large house with land attached – no castle or anything like that. If it were in Zeitz, no one would even turn around for it.
