I did not mean that one gives up all rights with it, but that one can avoid nasty surprises with such properties in advance through good experts. It is no fun to sit in a ruin and sue the previous owner when they are dead or in a nursing home. Junk may potentially hide many defects.

The topic is not that simple. Not all defects have to be disclosed and the phrase "AS IS" is of course legally significant. Therefore, a specialist is strongly recommended. Subsequently, typical defects are excluded, only those fraudulently concealed are not.

Of course it is not simple, but known defects must be stated, further discussion would go beyond the scope.

That is a bit too sarcastic for me, though.
Even if it may be difficult in hindsight to claim or obtain justice, it does not mean that it is allowed to conceal known defects. Concealing a defect in a legal transaction means deception, and in legal dealings, this is punishable by law. And yes...... many deceivers still roam free, but that by no means makes their actions legal.
Murder is also punishable, even if you are not caught, even with Uncle Hold.

But showing a defect and seeing and recognizing what consequences it has is something very few laypeople can do. With over 200 sqm of area to be renovated - with the high demands - it is wise to have an expert for old building renovation take a thorough look and also get permission to look behind a built-up wall at a critical spot.
