Since I was apparently missing some information myself (probably read hastily on Thursday or not at all), I am now reading here:
Hillside plot and Friesengiebel... can be done, but not a must. I consider the approach wrong! A slab-on-grade house on a slope – this is always warned against here...
And how is the situation with the development area? Neighbors?
Me too. That’s why I didn’t even click on this thread, because the topic is already sufficiently covered here in the forum.
Not only confuses with her new house search. Instead of simply creating a collection thread for herself, tiny puzzle pieces are queried, with answers sometimes not fitting the other dilemma. If you, , simply start a "we want to change" thread with an introduction explaining why, where, and what, linking to your currently new topics, it all would make cohesive sense.
We also gave that tip, so one could follow his house search and quickly get a clear picture of what it was about, then give him tips that had already excluded another topic of his (his was the affordable house on an existing property and remodeling options). Thus, one did not have to come up with high numbers or new builds.
You would then have the advantage that everyone is immediately on the same page and doesn’t have to explain anew each time why-new-elsewhere is being searched. It often gets personal anyway, which can simply be ignored and doesn’t have to be written anew.
Also, it irritates me hugely that you apparently don’t even read in the forum. The topic "house construction more expensive than ever" has been rampant here for several weeks and touches almost every topic. The costs of 2500 - 3000€ per sqm almost don’t scare those who are read here frequently anymore.
The topic "hillside plot, absolutely don’t build a slab-on-grade house... and if you do, what to pay attention to?" is also intensively discussed in almost every second floor plan discussion. And how hard it is to get building land at all, feels like it’s mentioned in every fifth thread here...
I mean, before you have to reply to everyone here over and over again, it’s less time-consuming to simply just read. Ultimately, it’s your choice, but I wanted to point out the tip.
And P.S. Your staying power regarding first looking at pictures, then seeing, and then leisurely vacationing there... I’d like to have that. By then, a reasonable plot is typically sold three times over.
A house, gable roof, solid construction with about 150m², no balcony, one side with a kind of "Friesengiebel"
and probably snagging a hillside plot in the new development area,

I’m losing a bit of overview with all the parallel threads about your moving project.
