Yes, maybe. But then hypothetically the loyalist side wins now. What impact would that have on the real estate market. Theoretically, it would lead to more dynamics, less speculative hoarding, possibly resulting in cheaper prices and rents?

No. We have exactly that case. 2 children, property worth 2 million, and I don’t have 75k in the bank, my sister doesn’t either. And now?
That’s exactly the point. The property is not worth 2 million. That’s just a fictitious number on paper. Not long ago, it wasn’t even worth half that. Inheritance tax rises with inflation and the real estate bubble, but allowances do not.

Inheritance tax costs more to administer than it brings in. If someone has worked for something and has already been taxed multiple times, it belongs to their family. For many, this is the motivation to provide a better life for their children, and they therefore make sacrifices. With companies, it's even more extreme. If there were a 100% inheritance tax, many companies would no longer exist. Socialism only makes everyone poorer. The result would be the flight to cheaper countries. Germany would lose again. We already have too high a tax burden.

Either use the property yourself and mortgage the property. No problem or sell it and then the money is there anyway.

Or rent out and mortgage...with the rental income from a 2 million property, that should be no problem either...

Yes and no. The creative leeways to reduce the tax burden increase proportionally to the amount of inherited wealth. I see that every day in my work. The lower middle class and everyone below can only dream of that. That's also how wealth can be increased.
