Defensive offer, or have house prices become so expensive?

I find both legitimate. Maybe you don’t want to push every snob on your future former neighbors there is. Or you simply have other immaterial priorities (no people who eat guinea pigs). Just as anyone is allowed to try to maximize their selling price and then call down the flood. Whether a lot of traffic or rather a targeted approach promises more success is, by the way, also the discussion in every online marketing sales...

In Kati's background, consideration for current neighbors is probably rather low on the priority list ;)

With enough options, you can achieve both: a good price and nice families with children who fit well into the street. But you also have to keep in mind that during the time a house is online, a lot of "What's your final price?" clientele drive by and scrutinize everything closely. Therefore, I can well understand if a house is not meant to be listed online for long. And yes, even if you don't explicitly provide the address, people find the houses. I myself have often tracked down houses on satellite images and driven over.

Exactly. And the same applies to all 50 as to the first twelve to fifteen – sixty are basically four or five. That's not how I proceed either, nor do I recommend it. With the fine distinction that I only advise those people for whom a highest possible fair price "is enough."

So if you already essentially shanghai my post, please note that it referred to the search for a new property - not to the sale of their existing house.

What nonsense, I would never sell my house within the known circle. Likewise, I wouldn't broadcast it in front of the daycare. If I sell something, then to strangers. No desire to be accountable or provide assistance to anyone after x years. That's how I did it with my first condominium, and it will be the same with the house I did a lot of work on myself.
