Ikea Metod + BEHJÄLPLIG + Bosch Grundstück = Problem

yes, the issue with the unstable adjustment knobs is the same for me. I have now removed the front for the time being, as I also don’t want the 8.6 kg to fall on my feet.

I am now considering, as suggested here in the forum, completely giving up on Behjälplig and Vaglig and screwing the front directly onto the dishwasher. To do this, screw the dishwasher in deeper and accept that the control panel will be recessed compared to the front. I have an 81.5 cm high dishwasher.

What do you think?

In some thread, someone recently wrote that the Stefan method did not work with the 81.5 cm high dishwasher. I had not had BEHJÄLPLIG in hand yet. In the drawing in the installation instructions, it looks as if the part with the adjustment wheel has an internal hexagon screw as the axis of rotation of the adjustment wheel. Can you tighten something there so that it doesn’t slip down so easily anymore?

I just had the same problem with the disengaging height adjustment of the Behjälplig rail. And that even with the small 45cm Hjälpsam dishwasher and - however - the Grevsta stainless steel front:

In my humble opinion, the height adjustment is really a design flaw: since the upper (plastic) guide of the adjustment wheel is only designed on one side - and still relatively flat and towards the load - the wheel simply slips through the suspension under higher load.

My solution: set the height of the dishwasher front using the height adjustment and note how far the locking claws protrude. Slightly relieve the front while doing this. Then unhook and remove the front, check the setting, and drive a 16mm Spax screw through the adjustment wheel at a suitable spot. It’s not pretty, but it works.

In my opinion, replacing the parts won’t help because the problem is due to the design.

P.S. So far, the front has not slipped out of the hinge during use...

i had the same problems with my semi-integrated electrolux xxl dishwasher. i applied "stefan's solution." i screwed the front directly to the door. WARNING!!!!!! i have a split front consisting of 40/20/4.5 from bottom to top. the 4.5 filler piece is made from the hammrap countertop. since these three parts are connected by the Ikea connecting rails, when tightening, this can distort the metal wall in the dishwasher so much that it catches on various parts at the bottom when opening and causes an awful cracking noise. for this problem, i simply placed four 4mm wooden spacers directly under the screws. if you look between the front and the dishwasher door, the connecting rails must not touch the cover sheet. you can find photos in my pictures

I have a very very similar same problem. Siemens dishwasher with a new and very difficult METOD front and the wobbly plastic BEHJÄLPLIG solution.

The door has now jumped off the pivot hinges dozens of times, I have also paid close attention to the correct pivot axis (even though it deviated slightly from the IKEA instructions).

Now the plastic holder of the pivot axis has finally broken at the bottom. Ikea Germany no longer offers BEHJÄLPLIG at all. What now? Do they finally have a metal replacement in the program? Or are foreign devices no longer supported at all (would not surprise me at Ikea....)

How did you finally solve this?
