Dear all,
the new draft from the architect is here.
Changes on the ground floor:
The "stubs" in the floorboards are gone (apparently also not structurally necessary).
Stairs rotated. I think it still works on the utility room side because the stub is missing there as well.
But I’m not sure if it’s really the better choice, since in this case the wall at the stairs has to be built all the way through to the stair depth, as the stairs have to be fixed to the wall.
The other way round, the part that protrudes further into the hallway can only be executed half-height, which makes the entrance area look more open.
What do you think?
Door to the all-purpose room now double-leaf. I like it.
The northwest windows are now floor-to-ceiling.
In the utility room, there is now a side entrance door drawn in. But for ventilation purposes, I also want a floor-to-ceiling window, which can then be opened from outside using a lock. How does the security aspect look here?
My current assumption is that it is probably true that a window door is less secure, but it doesn’t matter here because I have many floor-to-ceiling windows on the ground floor anyway. So this weak point is there anyway...
Is there anything I’m overlooking?
Large stair window: now somewhat reduced (probably still not sufficient). I think it still looks great (see NE view). The problem is that the general contractor is currently refusing to install windows larger than 2.25m and the architect still has 2.85m drawn here. I had actually asked him to also draw a version with 2.25m and one with two windows that basically follow the stair rise. I had seen that in some thread here in the forum and thought it was quite good. I will pass it on to him.
Changes on the upper floor:
Not much here, as I just followed the suggestion here in the forum and had the architect prepare variants regarding the window in the middle children's room.
Personally, I’m not so sure if I really like the same height for all of them better. Yes, it’s "cleaner" but also kind of conservative, boring. Although I don’t find these fall protection elements so nice, I find the fixed element below even uglier.
I would be happy about your comments, suggestions, and proposals...
Best regards
Tolentino
Links to previous drafts are exactly one post above, so I will refrain from linking them here again...
It also emerges from those that the sofas and kitchen furniture drawn in the all-purpose room do not correspond to the current planning status...
