Conveniently, we have the heating room on the north side, so the path is extremely short there, but if it were on the other side of the house, I would still hang the sensor facing north. Otherwise, the values would not be correct.

There is no shielding?! That's just ordinary doorbell wire, probably four-core because there was no two-core cable available at the moment. But you certainly don't need to worry about the few meters being an issue for the measurement not working - if it is indeed for the outdoor temperature sensor, which is quite possible.

if that's the outdoor sensor, the position is rather bad!
The picture suggests shielding to me...
Ask the heating engineer what he says about it...

Ours too - starting tomorrow. And I saw today that there is not even a cable for a temperature sensor yet. But it is already cleaned ... The answer (why) will probably come in about three weeks. :confused:
