I somehow find that totally likeable and kind of funny, visually rather downplaying. Otherwise, we usually have the opposite here.
You can also place the entrance on the gable side, that's not the problem. For me, it was just about the main rooms. In my opinion, they belong entirely facing the garden.

Finally some reasonable clients. With some ping-pong architect drivers, you really can feel sorry for the planners. But you have caught a very good architect here: I have been here for almost three years and can count on one hand how "often" I have seen a downpipe enclosure (like here in the kitchen) drawn in. Are you as nice as Götz and Christine from "Zimmer frei"? - I would like to join in right away. The architect fits me perfectly: impeccable, correct, even everything neatly to the exact measurement (and otherwise obviously experienced and/or excellently trained); and as a special treat, probably a bit conservative just for me. I like the house as much as ’s. I would take it exactly like that, with an L-shaped living room, and with the utility room in the younger variant. Artificial lighting in the dressing room is more favorable regarding dust. Even the accent (exposed concrete wall) is perfectly placed. From me: full marks, with a holy picture.

I like L

Yes, like that. I know: it's a nice idea to extend the kitchen countertop into the utility room. However, here it would be a nice-to-have, and for me the freer path into the utility room takes priority. However, I also mentioned that I would put the kitchen entrance in front of the stairs. And I can imagine that very well: you come down the stairs and approach the island

I like the fixed glass element! It’s a highlight for the house and doesn’t even cost much

I think everyone has to decide for themselves what they find beautiful. But for us, preferably discreet. Thank you very much, also for the further positive words. We at least try to keep the coordination efficient. We also have the positive feeling that the architect colleague is doing a good job. And I also think it is a mistake, in my opinion, to always define "conservative" only negatively. When it comes to preserving or sticking to really well-functioning solutions, conservative is positive! We pondered over that again. We don't see a possibility to realize that. The staircase is practically fixed because of the upper floor. And one thing is important to us: we want to position the cloakroom so that access to the guest WC does not go through the "dirty area." I am afraid we will stick to the "L". That would have a serious disadvantage. The exposed concrete wall would thereby be fragmented. That is important to me because I already have the fitting picture for it. However, so far the wall would be too short; with the changed utility room access, it would fit. Sounds good. We will just make sure once again that it really extends to the ceiling and is not just a hole in the wall without a door ... I hope I haven't missed any feedback; if so, it was unintentional. Best regards! mini

She means the glass element on the ground floor between the stairs and the living room/TV.
Right? Otherwise, I'm also at a loss

Many greetings! mini
