So, new year new luck one thinks, but for me there’s first of all new trouble and new questions.
First of all, the announced additional expenses for the soil replacement are suddenly twice as high as previously assumed. The amount neither matches my calculation based on the estimate from the civil engineer (1000 EUR more) nor the total tonnage of the delivery notes attached to the delivery (should then be even more expensive).
Now I suspect errors in the allocation of the delivery notes for the fill sand. One delivery note has my name on it, the others have nothing.
I assume that the civil engineer just spoke of additional effort with me, and that’s why the general contractor charged me everything that went beyond the calculated effort for the neighbor behind. He himself will simply have received an invoice from the civil engineer, who ultimately doesn’t care for whom he used how much sand.
In any case, I have now asked for clarification.
Also, they actually start today (currently -4°C) to build the wall at the neighbor behind. At least the Poroton was delivered this morning:
Apparently there is a bonding system from Poroton (Dryfix) that also works down to -5°C.
But there is the problem that my water hose, which is connected to the neighbor’s outdoor faucet, is frozen. That means I don’t exactly know how they are getting water for the curing layer (with winter mortar) now.
I’m currently waiting for the phone to ring.
Also, I’m wondering how they are going to get the bitumen sheets onto the foundation slab now when everything is flooded? Or does that come afterwards? Doesn’t it have to go under the wall?
Best regards
Tolentino
