I guess I will have to spend money to bring an expert as support since no support is to be expected from the site manager.

Hey, I would actually go along with that and play dumb on site - that would even be very easy for me in the construction sector. Print out a page from the datasheet regarding the overlap and just ask why it wasn't done.

On the other hand, it's a question of whether you can even win such a war and not lose 100% - one way or another. Didn't we have someone here in the forum who had someone pee under the floor insulation during construction or even sh*t in front of the house?

Difficult. As a desk worker, I also always struggle a lot with the observed difference between theory and practice in construction.

No, you don't have to. I wouldn't stoop to the "level" of a hothead. A staggered joint of the butt joints belongs there, and after all, that's no rocket science. My old aunt solves this puzzle faster than the egg timer rings.
