We have always spoken directly with the craftsmen, including the mason.

Yes, I definitely felt reminded of some of your pictures. My construction isn't that far along yet, but then I'll be on the lookout for beer bottles behind the insulation and drywall... My expert says it's not pretty, but ultimately free of defects if it is mortared properly. But I already told the site manager that I am not satisfied. I did that too, but in the end it wasn't really successful. He also wanted to tell me some crap; ultimately it was about not wanting to do it. Well, if the structural engineer says it’s okay like that, then I accept it.

Small update. The GÜ can't get the clearance certificate from the structural engineer and claims that I am not her contracting party, but his, which makes it unusual. I rather get the impression that they don't want to officially issue the acknowledgement of the masons' botch job under threat of accepting liability.

I have now made use of my BH legal protection and consulted a lawyer. He even considers an independent privately commissioned expert opinion too uncertain, since in the event of damage it would be unenforceable. So it’s better to force a court-appointed expert right away and either enforce depreciation or dismantling. Alternatively, let construction continue for now and then refuse acceptance...

I am pretty down at the moment. Why do they now turn out to be such bunglers who don’t even admit to their mistakes and correct them.

Well, I will continue to report.

No more "unusual" than a general contractor using a BT argumentation.

Then at least we hear the same.

Force a court-appointed expert: Do you have any idea how long that takes! By the time that's done, it'll be autumn.

Yes, I will have the lawyer explain all options and their implications to me. When he told me that, he was probably already mentally at the finished house.
