Hello everyone, I wanted to give you a quick update on my heating system now that it has started up again in the colder days.
It was noticeable that it had an incredibly high cycling rate again, 34-40 starts in 48 hours.
I then analyzed the data together with Daniel-SP and we quickly realized that it was definitely due to the bypass valve!
A short story about it:
In summer we had an error message because the compressor was heating up for hours (8-10h). This was due to our heat pump being heated above 35°, as it is located on the south side in full sun. So that was no problem and okay. Then a technician from the manufacturer Novelan came.
He basically looked at all my settings and set the bypass valve from almost closed to almost fully open. According to him, that was perfectly fine and it would only let excess flow out anyway. The valve had to be that far open.
We quickly found out that the frequent cycling only happened because of the open valve.
After I closed it again almost completely (yesterday morning) the picture already looked much better this morning.
I'm telling you this so you don’t have the same happen to you.
But I’m shocked that a professional, the technician from Novelan, would make such a statement that could cause more harm than good....
Best regards and all the best to you,
Ina
