The thread goes on my list for when people elsewhere are once again discussing the terribleness of a north orientation and instead promoting the compulsive south orientation.

But on the topic, here in the residential area almost everyone now also lowers the blinds/shutters as soon as the sun shines for more than an hour at a time, even in winter. So completely normal.

Google it: hydraulic balancing, no buffer tank, no ERR. You will surely find instructions or threads about your heating system somewhere. Unfortunately, I don't know your heating system, but in any case, you will set it better for yourself than the technicians.

That is of course great, but we have a house on a slope. The ground floor is the living area, the basement is the sleeping area. We wanted to install an awning above the bedroom windows, which is supposed to provide shade on the future terrace. We have already had an electrical connection installed for that.
Then another awning above that, I don’t even know if that’s possible. But it probably would look kind of stupid anyway. I’m sending another picture of our house from the terrace side attached.

Thanks, I'll google that right away. I would love to know how to analyze our heating system and understand all the technical details. But the craftsman just doesn't get back to me, which annoys me so much. I would just like to understand the device.

Windows can be opened even with [Wohnraumlüftung]. We have a passive house and still I open the windows on sunny days.

Regarding the south orientation after almost 2 years. South-facing windows are great again and again, terrace just not necessarily facing south.

I could laugh my head off right now, but it's not because it's a stupid question, rather because the "problem" surprised you. Joking aside.... that's just how it is with large south-facing windows. We have them too, and it saves money in winter! So it's not a problem but a feature. The summer will be even more fun, then you'll sit inside with the shutters closed and turn on the ceiling light because it's too dark for you. Cheers to [Raffstores]!
