With a modulating pump, it actually has to be set to auto. The running times are unfortunately also relatively poor. Do you have any data on hand?

The last technician insisted on not turning it off completely. He said that could destroy the system. The heating element ran for 3 hours this winter, the 97 hours before that are from the initial commissioning.

Ah okay. Well, I don’t think much of that, but the 3 hours obviously don’t explain anything. What source did you have again? Air?

In post #686 your spread is just 2.8K. Can you set that somewhere? Return flow of 26.6°C at AT=-3°C also seems very low to me.
