With us, it would also be really cold in the bathroom, it has been raining here for two weeks straight (RLP). At night it is 7-8 °C.
The heating is running and makes a nice gentle warmth.

Actually, Bookstar should turn on the heating and would distribute the energy to the other rooms through the self-regulation effect. Then his wife could also turn off the heating cartridge in the bathroom again.

We have been heating since 1.10., but for her it has now slowly become too cold. But without [WP] since the beginning of April is certainly not so bad in my latitudes and altitudes.

After just watching last year how 35kwh were blown out per day (the electric car was included), I am now cured of turning on the heating so early in the year. The heating period is too long for that (until mid to late March).

Outside, 3-star beech are waiting, the car mostly charges at work, and the storage is just barely getting us through the night.

Let's see how long we can manage like this without underfloor heating. The most annoying days are those without sun, because during the day the rooms don’t get warmed up.

Frugality is good, but not at the expense of quality of life. If we are too cold or thinking all day about whether it might be too cold, we turn on the heating. Have you ever considered a photovoltaic system with a power storage unit? Despite bad weather, it currently covers almost the entire daily electricity demand for us.

I also have a colleague who only turns on the heating when his wife seriously threatens him with divorce. To each their own hobby... If my relationship with my in-laws ever turns negative, that would be the easiest way to keep them away. Father-in-law has left his own slippers at our place because he always feels cold here - even when we have the heating on.
