You can define whatever you want as a no-go. I don't care at all. That a balcony leads into the garden is simply not standard. And that you have to go through the bedroom when the terrace entrance is next door isn't either. And if everything is finalized, you don't need to ask.

Where do you see a balcony? We don’t have one. It’s simply about not wanting the dressing room to be a walk-through room. And yes, I can define it for our house. And with that aspect in mind, I asked for help. Otherwise, you might as well start the topic Bungalow vs. City villa.

In the floor plans (in both) it says balcony. Probably a terrace is meant. And I also don't understand why a guest would go through the dressing room on the way from the terrace. A dressing room does not have to be passable, although I also find that more practical, almost like an airlock before the bedroom, which would be much more private for me against guests than a dressing room - it can also simply be separately accessible. But a captive dressing room, like in your first design, loses its meaning for me. Namely especially if you get up at different times, without waking your partner, getting dressed and not having to cross the bedroom again when you go about your daily business. I would much rather replace a captive dressing room with more closet space in the bedroom if a separate dressing room is not possible and an airlock dressing room is undesirable.

I wouldn’t make the dressing room a walk-through room either. Try to make the hallway a bit smaller to create more space elsewhere. Couldn’t I put the terrace outside on the house to create more living space?

Yes, you’re right. I overlooked it myself. Balcony should be a covered terrace. Tastes are different there. Like with closed and open kitchens. We just want the dressing room as an extra room attached to the bedroom. Since we both get up at the same time, there is no "disturbance problem."

We have that too and it fits. However, I find the dressing room very small, especially since a corner wardrobe is of little use.
