I like the floor plan, except for the solution of the [Kinderbad]. How old are your kids?

Has anyone already said where north is? This covered terrace is then as dark as night. That wouldn’t be for me. Unfortunately, the bedroom isn’t feng shui at all. You come in and fall over the bed. That always feels uncomfortable. A simple solution here would be to relocate the door to the dressing room and then place the bed against the wall where the door is now. The fact that the child sleeps with their ear against the wall to the bedroom is quite delicate. I also always find 2 doors in the bathroom awkward. I would remove the one from the hallway. The children have their own bathroom anyway. By the way, I don’t find it too small for a small bathroom. However, I consider the solution with the shower by the window problematic, since the window quickly gets ruined by the limescale in the water. I think that’s a planning mistake if you build something that breaks immediately. The windows are still chaotic in my opinion. The exterior views would be interesting in this regard. The window directly by the toilet in the bathroom should also be frosted glass. The living room will be a dark cave, since the terrace is already dark. The light is only in the dining room. That would be the main reason for me to completely rethink the ground floor. The hallway is too narrow and cramped for me. The utility room is very tight if the laundry is also supposed to go there. Where do you hang it in winter? The upstairs hallway is also very dark. The small window at the stairs doesn’t make up for it. But okay, maybe there are worse things. Normally, I would position the bedroom + dressing room by child 2/children’s bathroom, split the 2 children's rooms evenly along the lower side, and place the 2 bathrooms next to each other where the bathroom + dressing room are now. The only argument against this is the balcony thing. I think I’d rather ditch the balcony. We never had fights over the rooms, even though there was one big and one somewhat smaller. I wouldn’t overvalue the fairness theory. So one child just has a balcony and the other doesn’t. That’s it.

Oh, one more thing about the sliding doors: they may seem original and space-saving at first glance, but with frequent use they become very, very annoying in the long run. Especially in the bathroom, a secure closing mechanism is certainly desired. I could imagine that this will not be an insignificant cost factor. Therefore, I would definitely plan for standard doors upstairs.

As says: both doors (bedroom + bathroom) removed, instead one door into the dressing room and from there directly into the bathroom and bedroom. These are short paths and no slalom, and there is no back and forth with opening and closing the second bathroom door, as well as a better living feeling in the bedroom.

Is there also any feedback on the other (less comfortable) comments and inquiries from us?

So, regarding the questions, there are no children yet. But they are planned in the next few years!

The door in the dressing room is already a good idea. However, I would then lose closet space in the dressing room. And when you walk in, you first stand among the clothes! I don’t know if I would find that so great.

One more question, why should it be so dark in the living room? Because of our planned roofing? But it is planned as a glass roof.

I will immediately upload the views.

Would you find the children's bathroom solution better?
