thanks for the suggestions. The first one is already heading in the direction of our plans. The second one is probably not quite our taste ;) , but at least thought outside the box - thanks for that!
Here is the current planning status:
And a variant with a separately lockable shower room including toilet:
Best regards!
Both variants would be too open for me. In this planning, I would always consider noise, odors, and humidity.
The shower releases a lot of moisture, which in my case would not be open to the area where I keep my things.
And do you want to take part in your partner’s “business” while lying in bed? Even flushing after the little business at night would probably make sure the other person is awake as well.
I mean, to see a sliding door in the plan. However, it practically has no soundproofing effect. I would only plan en suite bathrooms if good sound insulation is possible.
Google the model house Linea in Bad Vilbel by Partner-Haus. We really liked the layout of the bathroom, dressing room, and bedroom. Although there is only a sparsely dimensioned floor plan on their homepage, perhaps some measurements can still be derived. We would never integrate the bathroom into the bedroom or attach it directly to it - for the reasons mentioned.
This is how we built the combination of bedroom/dressing room and bathroom. The right side is north. The bedroom window faces west. A glass sliding door is installed to the bathroom.
we also have ensuite, I didn't want to have it again if I may/must share my bedroom with a second person. When you are young, it might be okay, but not when older.
