Well, they will certainly allow fire. They will also have to be inspected by the chimney sweep. How long they will last, and whether they will eventually fall apart, I cannot say. What always bothers me are these tiny panes through which you can hardly see any of the fire. That is good for heating performance, but nowadays that is actually only relevant very rarely.

If you only want it for looks, just take an Ethanol oven. Or my evergreen recommendation: Netflix 4k fire. You can probably find it on Youtube as well. At least you won’t die from overheating.

Bli Bla Blub... With such an affordable Swedish stove, I get exactly the same pleasant warmth and a bit of crackling/something for the eye. Nobody needs to spend 10k on that. It's nonsense to say: either all or nothing. Then I can just as well say: why does someone drive a Renault Twingo? If already Mercedes or bicycle!! But no Twingo!

Tell me the disadvantages that a cheap 1–2k stove brings compared to a large fireplace stove for 15k? They haven't been mentioned here yet... Then everyone can decide for themselves whether a 2k stove is enough or not.
