yes, exactly.

Further into the living room? I wouldn’t…
maybe move the foyer further towards the top of the plan?
I think the door or one of the doors is somehow disturbing. The proximity of the living room to the entrance is unfavorable.

You were informed about the sound and its transmission to the upper floor, right?

Makes sense - thanks!

Okay! I also believe that a small, nice wardrobe for 2 people is completely sufficient.

Understood. As you have now marked it, it is also good. I see 2 options for the granny flat bathroom. Either (a) you put the washing machine in the small shower room and the shower into the bathroom, or (b) you do it as you have marked and have a spacious shower.

Good point - I like the change.

That’s exactly one of those things and certainly a controversial element. Basically, we really like the idea of the glass wall facing the cloakroom. We thought that we can counteract it with a nice curtain if needed.

To be honest, we haven’t made a final decision yet. We’re currently considering whether to bring in an interior designer for certain things.

Good! Maybe we just need to get used to it a bit more.

The plan would be to take the remaining roof area facing south. I guess you’re asking because there is too little space?

This way we properly take away space from the terrace...
We'll discuss that.

Yes, we still have to crack this nut, possibly with appropriate doors on the upper floor.

I have another idea... further down...

No, just like that. There are quite a few windows up there anyway.

Curtain?
Well, looking at the wardrobe while you relax in the living room in the evening isn’t a good idea.
Why would anyone want to look at their winter shoes? Or the yellow bag or crate of drinks that is parked there in between?
Or why would your wife’s female friends want to see you slouching on the sofa in front of the TV with chips when saying goodbye in the evening?! …
There really isn’t a situation that is great when looking into the hallway of the house.

Hmm... if that is still a challenge for you, then there should be a partition wall. That would be doable.

Hm!
Let’s be honest: do you think an interior designer shows you the best way to sit at your TV? According to him, there won’t be one at all ;) Just kidding.

But seriously: a house does change your daily routine somewhat, especially regarding comfort and garden—meaning outdoor connection.
But it doesn’t make you a different person.
If you like to slouch on the sofa, you will want to enjoy that in the new house as well. That’s why the interior designer may suggest the color and style of the sofa, but not question its existence. And general life experience, orthopedics, and medicine would advise you about the interaction between seating furniture and TV anyway.

Actually, your statement regarding the glass wardrobe even confused me. I remember you are quite young and the imagination is maybe not very developed?!
But never mind.
My suggestion: there should be a partition wall between the stairs and the hallway upstairs. I think it would also look better from below. In my opinion, there are two possibilities there.
Also, I would switch the living room with the kitchen again. You can easily go through the dining room to the terrace when you want to sit there. Or through the short side of the wardrobe. I could imagine the view of the pool being better from the living room, and the location of kitchen/entrance is also smoother. The living room has more privacy and is less a traffic area. That then goes to the kitchen. Also, AB could be better used via the kitchen as well as the more direct location to the stairs.
If I have time, I’ll draw it with the wall and the switch.
