An alternative would be a mirror wall. We once had that in an apartment from my childhood. It made the hallway incredibly larger and brighter (It was interior, so without windows). If you don’t need the wall as a place for furniture...We actually found the glass corridor cool - something different. But the disadvantage of the living room view is certainly valid. I will discuss that again with my wife.
