If you fill out this questionnaire and upload scaled site plans (including access/road), then surely some people will come here to draw something.
It already starts with separating the wheat from the chaff: granny flat with privacy and parking space/family apartment with 2 parking spaces and free space for children and parents (retreat options, outdoor storage for children’s belongings).
Then already on the facade at the front an approach that does not make the exterior wall look like a characterless apartment block. Especially a "city villa," which apparently is meant to be impressive, may have some charm in the front with the golden ratio or symmetry.
Then of course it depends on how much area is to be built over. After that, weigh the levels. You can do without an attic if you have a basement and vice versa.
And then just plan the rooms according to their use: the child on the left side does not have to look over the open space to see what is going on in the parents’ bedroom. The house is a single peep show and stage for observers inside their own home.
A wall may also stand alone sometimes, and windows can also be somewhat fewer, but then in some rooms the right ratio should be observed so that a room gets enough lighting: while the bathroom has rather insufficient window area, the bedroom is brimming with too many so that you can’t sleep at all.

Overall very clear: Reset!

Thank you very much kbt09. I need to read this through a second time. I understand what you are getting at, but I am not sure if I can convey the feedback precisely to the architect.

Just show him the picture and ask him if the staircase with a story height of 16*18.9 cm (16 risers) = 302 cm can be accommodated with a staircase under 4 m in length (according to the drawing). What clear room height are you aiming for? The 302 cm should correspond to approximately 270 cm clear room height (just a rough estimate).

To be honest - they are really nonsense. This will be a big feedback to the architect to provide me with a complete revision here.

This is a very good idea and sorry to everyone - that I missed this part. Honestly, I thought the current plan was not such a big disaster. I will provide a large questionnaire addendum here and hope that someone can help me with a few sketches that I can use as a new basis.
