I never said that I am an architect....and yes I spent the whole night working on it and honestly I don't even know why I am getting so much criticism here... Did I do something to anyone?

My 5 cents. The window shape, reconsider it yourself, because style must not kill function. Downstairs. Kitchen to the living room, consider a wall with a sliding door in between. That way it can be open, but it doesn't have to be. Open kitchens always have to be tidy, otherwise it looks like Hempel under the sofa... Upstairs, swap the bathroom with the north KZ, then you have access to the utility room via the bathroom. That fits. For the KZ, the space that is now the bathroom is enough. Downstairs there is actually a lack of wardrobe space, now it's almost only under the stairs. It's possible, but surely can be done differently with a small sacrifice in the office. Karsten

Don’t take it as criticism, but as well-meant advice.
More on this when your new draft is ready

Here, (ambitious) amateurs discuss floor plans created by similarly skilled people. There is nothing wrong with that. The claim that only professional work should be discussed here will hardly be enforceable. Especially since the original poster does not even claim to demonstrate professional work. So why criticize that he created the plan in one day? I mean you, , have also (several times?) suggested here to start with pen and paper and a sketch. Creating a plan with electronic tools within 24 hours can hardly be a drama, can it?

I am also curious about the new drafts. My first impression was: quite large, it could probably be half a meter shorter without losing much functionality.

After the comments about the orientation/West view, I looked at the ground floor plan again and no longer understand why you do not take the view into account in the living area? You apparently want to place the couch in front of the window, so you will always be sitting with your back to the beautiful view. I think that's a shame...

Mistakes in a draft are just as recognizable in a pencil/paper plan. Only then, errors are corrected by erasing in a very short time. A program wastes time because as a layperson you repeatedly change respective factors by a few centimeters. When after several hours you think you are finished, you are less willing to change something. That is the crux. Criticism then hurts even more. How many weeks did the lay planner spend on his "finished" plan? Either quick shots are put on paper, or work done over several weeks. If a client already initially likes something that they see, but only as a basis for further ideas, which here is then fundamentally argued away or criticized, then a few days of work are wasted. Take the example of stairs: if you always assume wrong, uncommon dimensions, you may have to redesign everything.

One should therefore always see their work only as a sketch for the architect/planner.

In this case, one does not want to build a standard house. So where is the journey going? To the architect or to a construction supervisor who hires an architect.

Quick-shot plans usually have an extremely high number of mistakes because the focus is no longer on a good design.

Best regards, Yvonne
