Maybe the mention of length is different here as well? Maybe we're talking past each other?
A quarter-turn staircase is not a mistake!

By length I don't mean the diagonal but rather the depth. Stair length over ground (VKA)... that's how it is called in the calculator.

A space-saving staircase is a completely different matter, although 140cm already sounds specifically like a samba staircase.

Turns serve more to bend entries and exits than to reduce length or staircase floor space.

Developer? – You are building on your own property, right? I fear I’m right in assuming that here the manufacturer/importer of a holiday home/tiny house kit is meant, whose building permit contract architect was the first in the ordering process to realize that a staircase as planned does not comply with German construction standards?
This reminds me of .

I won’t say it again: If you reduced your secrecy, you could be advised constructively here!

Hello,

the ideal staircase has a step height of 17 cm with a step depth of 29 cm.

The length of the staircase or the length of the projection on the floor results accordingly from the floor height and the required number of steps.

With this, you can calculate the measurements and also receive a hint about compliance with the important key figures walking measure, convenience, and safety.

Construction is being done with Fullwood. At the moment, the drawings are being made by the architect. Therefore, I do not have the possibility to upload anything for you. The house measures 13x6.5m and has 1.5 stories.

Oh, a log house... How nice!
I highly recommend that you create your own thread here once you have the first draft from the architect. It would be important to know whether it is your own architect or if they are the partner company of Fullwood (and therefore familiar with all the peculiarities of this construction method). We also have a log house, and without the forum, it would have become – I quote – a "dark dwarf cave," as many things really look different in wood compared to when you build "normally"!
