Can you rotate your floor plans 90° to the left? Then they will also be oriented to the north. The garage is supposed to be in the east .. child 3 won’t fit there.

I'll take a step back for now - things are easier to sort out with some distance
Really, thank you so much up to this point!!

So, we are now in the building application calculation phase; if the numbers fit in a few days, we will release this draft for building application preparation. It is now the best compromise between what is possible and what is necessary, with some compromises. I am just still considering shifting the large window at the dining table a little further south so that the table is centered in front of it. However, then it would no longer be centered from the outside. By the way, we probably won’t do the bar stools in the kitchen. The architect drew them, but we hadn’t actually planned for them. The sink swaps places with the stove.

Hmm ... I would probably rotate the staircase by 90° so that not every visitor ends up in the absolute most private part of the house on the living floor.

The two small bathrooms are real small bathrooms, where I personally find the shower too cramped, and also the toilet is very confined.

In the basement, I don't really like the circulation around the staircase either... it's the same on the ground floor, which is why I suggest at least rotating the staircase by 90°, then the situation on the ground floor would be a bit less problematic.

"My" layout would probably still appeal to me more.

EDIT:
The garage only offers space for the car. What about bicycles? Garden furniture, lawn mower?

The staircase was rotated so that there is no wall on the right, but only a railing, allowing more light in the hallway. That was important to us.

Garage: Actually, no car will go in there. A carport will be in front. To the left of the house there is a bike shed and in the garden a garden house.

The bathrooms are small, that’s true. But you have to save space somewhere. Toilets have between 90 and 100 cm of space. That’s what we have here in the house as well. That is more than enough.
I think you really have to be very broadly built to need more space...
