No, that's exactly right .. just imagine you're standing in the shower .. you want to get out again. And, as I said, I find it extremely practical if a shower door also opens inward. It always annoys me when I come across a shower where the shower door only opens outward. Then you always have water in front of the shower.

It depends on the length of the vertical fixed glass panel. That's why I wrote "definitely a swing door, possibly as a folding swing door," and that works great inward. View from above of my bathroom:

We have pivot doors in the guest bathroom, but double-leaf. I was skeptical at first, but they work well and are completely watertight.

One could consider making the flat-topped glass piece also as a wall, then one could build a niche for shower gel etc. on the inside and install a towel radiator or at least hooks for the large bath towels on the outside. The door and partition to the bathtub then in glass.
