The overall view raises suspicion. If there were only exterior walls of caliber 425 here, I would not have commented on it. Monolithic caliber 365 is probably too critical for the general contractors (in 2023), as they may not want to have to redesign again after the individual calculations. But here it clearly looks like a typical pattern.

oh yes, the staircase, you want to check when and with whom the kids sneak upstairs at night? With my daughter, the staircase is the same (Bestandsimmo), but there is a second staircase for the boys (schon vorhanden) at the other end of the house.

Oh, where was it again (at ?) ... there was a longer discussion about the pubertal kids sneaking past the sofa after the disco, where the milf in a tracksuit is lounging around :-)

I don't see it that way here if you furnish the living room realistically. I wouldn't place the sofa as a barrier; it probably wouldn't fit with real dimensions anyway. Sofa rather against the hallway wall, then you can also look into the garden sometimes. However, the TV spot will be interesting. And as a chain reaction of sensible furnishing, the fireplace is not where it should be visible from the sofa. I would definitely start here too and not put the sofa somewhere where it doesn't belong. Personally, I would do without this inexplicable corridor. I classify that under "running in circles" and "getting tangled" – move the garage a bit further back, the house further forward; then there is a nice courtyard in front of the entrance area and not a 3-meter-high wall that doesn't allow you to easily push a bicycle out of the basement through the door.

Some time has passed and we have made further adjustments. Nothing has changed with the house itself as we are still satisfied. No fundamental no-gos appeared during the course of the thread.

However, we have changed the layout of the garage as well as the location of the house and garage in relation to each other. This solved a problem that ypg mentioned in the last post, but that had also bothered us for quite some time: the passage between the house and the garage. Although we consciously chose this passage at the beginning of the planning, we increasingly doubted whether it would work as planned. Now it had to be removed.

This is what it currently looks like. We will probably submit the plan as is.

In a free country, everyone is allowed to ignore advice; all of it has been given. The pointless wall thickness dimensioning is a matter of taste, as it harms no one – unfortunately, this does not apply to the pantry escape hatch. I already admire the magician who will distill a functioning staircase from the confusing drawings. I see my and many others’ comments and suggestions remain just as relevant.
